The company's newly launched internal community builds on the success of its existing Jive-x partner community, giving partners, suppliers and now employees a mobile-optimized digital WorkHub they can use to connect, communicate and collaborate with Virgin Media.
Virgin Media turned to Jive for a WorkHub that would bring all of its employees' daily workflows together in order to reduce their reliance on travel and email, and facilitate knowledge sharing within and across teams. The new Virgin Media intranet will increase efficiency by providing a central place for employees to exchange information, find expertise across the business, stay up-to-date on company news, and collaborate on strategic projects.

All of this functionality will be available within a consumer-friendly digital solution that will also give Virgin Media a much deeper understanding of employee sentiment through valuable engagement analytics and content-level impact metrics.
The company worked with Jive consulting partner Sei Mani to roll out its new intranet, as well as a partner community last year. Underpinned by Jive-x, VMExtranet is an online community where nearly 1,000 partner and supplier contacts can connect with Virgin Media, incubate new business ideas, review frequently asked questions and answers, participate in product and field trials, and access helpful project documentation – all via their mobile devices. Virgin Media's employees use VMExtranet to securely exchange large files and confidential information with its parent company, Liberty Global, as well as with delivery partners, digital agencies and suppliers.
